The Chief Election Commissioner will address the nation today

The Dhaka Times Desk Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed will address the nation on Monday evening. Election commission secretariat sources confirmed this news.

Sources said that his speech will be recorded in the afternoon and will be aired in the media by evening.

The main opposition BNP has demanded a delay in announcing the election schedule. And yesterday, Sunday, the Chief Election Commissioner mentioned to the journalists that he wants a compromise between the two parties. On the other hand, when Election Commissioner Shahnewaj was asked based on Chandpur's statement earlier, he replied that it will be announced soon, but did not mention any date.

It is to be noted that Election Commissioner Mohammad Shahnewaz went to a meeting in Chandpur at the end of last week and said that the schedule of the 10th National Parliament will be announced by next Monday.
