The Dhaka Times Desk A child's eating habits, patterns, determine his physical growth and mental development. Children who play with and eat food in high chairs have been shown to develop faster, learning anything very quickly.

It is common to see many children playing with food and playing with things around them while eating. Researchers have found that children usually remember the names of objects around them, be it chairs, tables, dogs or any other object.
2.5% children start learning new things from what they know. But in that case, researchers want to know how quickly they can learn something new.
Some children aged one year and four months were selected in the laboratory, then they were divided into two groups, one group was seated on a chair and the other group was seated on a table. At the same time they are given applesauce, pudding, juice and they are given metaphorical names like dex, kiv instead of their proper names. After one minute, the children were allowed to identify the same type of different shaped food. In that case, it was found that children who were playing with food while sitting on a chair were able to identify the foods faster - while children who were sitting at a table were relatively less able to identify them.

University of Iowa Professor of Psychology Larissa Samuelson Say – Most children who play with food at home learn a lot. Home is the place of emotional and intellectual development of the child. Children learn about the characteristics of their food at home even though they may not learn their names at that age. However, older children can learn about different foods more quickly if they have a variety of foods at their daily mealtimes, and their physical and mental development begins very quickly.
