His Excellency the President announced his posthumous eye donation!

The Dhaka Times Desk Eye is the most valuable organ of human being, many people in the world are now suffering from blindness, many of whom can be cured by finding the right donor. But eye donors are very less. Meanwhile, His Excellency the President of Bangladesh announced that he wants to donate his two eyes to a blind person after his death.

In a speech at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium at the opening ceremony of Thanthi Bhawan today, the President told everyone that he wants to give his two eyes to a poor blind person. He said, "I declare in front of everyone that I will donate my eyes after my death." The president also said, I have given blood voluntarily many times, I still want to give it, but due to my age, blood is not taken from me. The President urged the people of the country to help people by donating blood voluntarily.

Today Thanthi National Eye Donation Society and Thanthi Central Parishad organized this event. The program was presided over by the president of Thanthi National Eye Donation Association, Professor Dr. M. Ali Asghar Moral, and former Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni was the special guest.

The President was informed about the progress of Thanthi's work. Thanthi has so far collected about 9 lakh bags of blood and it is being distributed to various people in danger. The President expressed satisfaction after hearing this.
