Hefazat has postponed the Shapla Chattar mass meeting as the government did not give permission

The Dhaka Times Desk Hefazat Islam has postponed the general meeting of Shapla Chattar tomorrow, December 24. Hefazat Islam took this decision as the police did not allow the rally there.

Even yesterday, Hefajat leaders said that they will hold a mass meeting at Shapla Chattar at any cost. Suddenly, on Monday in a press conference at Jamia Madania Madrasa in Baridhara, the convener of Hefazet Islam's Dhaka metropolitan branch Noor Hussain Kasemi announced the suspension of the program. At that time he said, "We took all the preparations for the rally. I also applied for permission on November 30. But the government said, they will not allow it anyway. He said, “We don't want unrest. Tomorrow's (Tuesday) rally is not taking place for the time being due to government obstruction.”

It is to be noted that in the last month of May, there was a lot of violence in the Hefazat rally in Motijheel Shapla area of the capital. Later, they were removed from the capital through a special operation late at night. Although there is a lot of criticism in the country and abroad.
