The Dhaka Times Desk BNP chairperson and 18 party leader Begum Khaleda Zia called on people from all over the country to come towards the capital on Sunday, December 29, demanding a non-partisan government. He named this program as 'March for Democracy'.
Begum Khaleda Zia announced this program in a press conference at her office in Gulshan in the capital on Tuesday evening.
Opposition leader Begum Khaleda Zia, calling on people of all classes and professions of the country to come to Dhaka with the national flag, said that everyone will gather at the BNP office in the capital in this month of victory. Begum Khaleda Zia invited everyone including mothers and sisters, students and youth, farmers, scholars to come to Dhaka in groups. He said that he came to Dhaka by bus and launch.
Regarding reconciliation, BNP Chairperson and 18 party leader Begum Khaleda Zia said, we tried to reconcile. But the government did not want. The countrymen have got the proof. Noting that the government did not respond to BNP's proposal, Khaleda Zia said, "There are tears in every house today." Panic has spread in towns and villages. But the government is silent. He urged everyone to restore democracy.
