Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor ordered to dismiss the case at 3:35 pm on Tuesday. Earlier, the hearing of the Dhaka case was held around 12:30 noon. A case was filed on the charge of satirizing Gopalganj and announcing in front of the media that the name of the district would be changed.
It is to be noted that the case was filed by the president of 'Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad' AB Siddiqui in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of Dhaka today at around 10:30 am. He filed the case accusing the people of Gopalganj of defaming, threatening and causing trouble in the country.
