The Dhaka Times Desk Magura police arrested 3 leaders and workers of Chhatra League for allegedly setting fire to a bus.
According to the news, the police arrested 3 leaders and activists of Chhatra League from Pernanduali central bus terminal area of Magura city. They were allegedly trying to set fire to the bus. Police are investigating the matter. The police arrested them yesterday at 8 o'clock on Wednesday night.
The arrested are - District Chhatra League religious affairs secretary Sajjad Molla (24), Chhatra League workers Limon (22) and Rana (19).
According to police sources, the 3 youths were trying to set fire to a car running on the Dhaka-Khulna highway near the bus terminal at around 8 pm. At that time, the police arrested them.
Magura Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Sudarshan Roy admitted to the media that Sajjad, Limon and Rana are being interrogated. He said that their intention was to create sabotage.
District Chhatra League general secretary Mir Mehedi Hasan said, "I heard that the police arrested Sajjad Mollah, the religious affairs secretary of the district Chhatra League and Liman and Rana, along with petrol bombs." He mentioned that the matter is sad.
