New Year 2014 World Record Colorful Fireworks in Dubai Sky [VIDEO]

The Dhaka Times Desk The city of Dubai welcomed the English New Year 2014 with a record 450,000 fireworks display, setting a new record for the largest number of fireworks in the sky simultaneously.

News agency AP reported that Dubai embarked on a grand program to usher in the New Year 2014, with fireworks in the shape of hawks, the sunrise and the UAE national flag, mesmerizing thousands of visitors.

Meanwhile, several newspapers reported that Dubai's initiative could not set a world record, but CNN has already reported that it is a world record, and no nation has yet produced a falcon that Dubai has done!

Earlier in 2013, Kuwait set the world record with 77,000 fireworks, but this year, Dubai broke Kuwait's record.

Dubai's fireworks display begins at the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, and ends at the world's first man-made islands.
