According to the news received, a goat breeding farm was established in 1994 on the outskirts of Meherpur district town on the outskirts of Meherpur district city with the financial support of the Japanese government. At present the overall management of the farm is under the responsibility of the Rural Development Board (BRDB). The farm, which was set up for the propagation of superior breed of goats, was a breeding farm on paper, but now there is fuel instead of goats. The farm is now occupied by outsiders on rent. And it is alleged that he is being embezzled by leasing the house rent and farm property.

On the surface, it can be seen that the manager of the farm, Mostafizur Rahman, is living with two rooms on the upper floor of the building. Four rooms on the ground floor have been rented to the staff of Palli Vidyut Samiti Abuul Kalam and Khorshed Hossain. Although there are no goats in the farm, there is an employee named Shukur Ali who takes care of the goats. It is known that he does not work in the farm but sells labor in different places but receives salary at the end of the month. Apart from this, 8 bigha pasture land for farm goats outside the farm boundary has been leased for long term. Awami League worker Tofazzel Hossain of Gopalpur village near the farm is cultivating the land on lease. Mostafizur Rahman, the manager of the rural development farm, said that their president is Abdul Mannan. He leases out those lands and collects money through house rent. Rural development officer Tapan Kumar Mondal admitted that the money for land lease and house rent is not credited to the organization.

Because the current government is working on keeping women goats at home. Women can easily become self-reliant by rearing goats at home. In this case, the government cooperates.
