Yes, although it is a surprising study, it is true that the roots of the Eucalyptus tree penetrate very deep into the soil, so that various minerals come up from different layers of the soil through the roots of this tree. These minerals are stored in eucalyptus leaves. So by testing the samples of eucalyptus leaves, it will be known if there is gold under the soil of the area! If so, how much gold is there?
researcher Melvyn Lintern বলেন, “ইউক্যালিপ্টাস গাছের উপর গবেষণা করে জানা গেছে এসব গাছের শেকড় মাটির এতো গভীরে চলে যায় যেখানে বিভিন্ন স্থরে রয়েছে ভূগর্ভস্থ বিভিন্ন খনিজ। ইউক্যালিপ্টাস গাছের শেকড় ঐ সব স্থর থেকে খনিজ সংগ্রহ করে নিয়ে আসে এতে এসব গাছের নমুনাতে ঐ অঞ্চলের মাটির নিচে কি রয়েছে সেই বিষয়ে তথ্য পাওয়া সম্ভব!”
Researchers say that eucalyptus trees can be a powerful tool for mineral exploration, through which it is very easy to know if there is any gold under the soil of that place without using expensive equipment and digging the ground!
Apart from this, various circles think that this research of the researchers is bringing special benefits from the economic aspect as well. All over the world, huge sums of money are spent on mining alone to extract gold from underground, which can now be easily detected by samples of eucalyptus leaves. As a result, huge amount of exploration cost will be saved.

"ইউক্যালিপটাস পরিবেশের জন্য ক্ষতিকারক" এ কথা বহু গবেষক বলেছেন, কেননা এটা মাটি থেকে খুব বেশী পরিমাণে পানি শোষণ করে ফলে তার আশেপাশে কোনও গাছ জন্মাতে পারেনা এবং এটা আমি নিজে দেখেছি কারণ আমাদের বাসাতেই ঐ গাছ ছিল।
