Fuel crisis: Borrow farming disrupted and transport threatened

Those concerned think that such a situation has been created due to continuous strike-blockade.

Ten oil pumps in Ishwardi have been collecting oil regularly from Baghabari, a well-known oil depot in Uttaranjal. Besides, they have been supplying essential fuel to the local vehicle owners. But due to continuous strikes and blockades, the import and export of oil has stopped.

It is known from related sources that their reserve oil is also on the way to exhaustion. Oil pump owners sometimes sell some oil but it is much less than the production. Manju Pump, Rakib Pump, Anyfilling Station, Faith Filling, Tamanna Filling and Malitha Filling Stations among the oil pumps in Ishwardi are seen to be disappointed among the owners of each filling station.

Even though the oil owners demanded that the government and the opposition should be exempted from the strike-blockade in the interest of the country, no one has kept their word till date. As a result, the announcement of shutdown of oil pumps is only a matter of time. Besides, oil dependent vehicles can also be stopped at any time due to oil shortage. Meanwhile, Borodhan farmers have already abandoned their plantations due to the oil crisis. Many people think that its impact will fall on the next budget.

Meanwhile, despite the hartal-blockade, local vehicles have been plying in Bhutbhuti even though the employees and businessmen are at risk. As a result of the oil crisis, those vehicles have also been discontinued. People's problems will intensify if vehicles like Bhutbhuti are stopped due to lack of fuel oil. People who depend on these vehicles to carry jobs and patients will become even more angry.
