The Dhaka Times Desk Sohail, the mastermind of Sunday's bank robbery in Kishoreganj, has been arrested from Dhaka with 5 bags of taka.
RAB arrested Habib alias Sohail, the tenant of the house adjacent to the bank, the main protagonist of this tragic incident of bank robbery in the history of Bangladesh, today from Tony Villa, Shyamnagar Road, Kadmatoli Police Station, Dhaka. Meanwhile, 5 sacks of Tk were recovered from him. He was arrested around 4 pm today.
According to RAB sources, 5 sacks of Tk have been recovered from the arrested Sohail. However, it is not yet confirmed how much money is there. RAB sources informed that the details will be informed at the RAB headquarters in the afternoon.
It is to be noted that last Sunday 16.5 million taka was looted from the branch of Sonali Bank in Kishoreganj by tunneling under the ground in a novel way and entering the vault.
