The Dhaka Times Desk Sohail, who planned the daring and novel bank robbery in Kishoreganj at Sonali Bank in Kishoreganj, also developed a love affair with a bank employee as part of the plan. This information came out in the interrogation.
The plan was made about two and a half years ago. As part of the implementation of the plan, precisely a nest is sought. Sohail got such a house with the help of a local businessman named Salim. For a monthly rent of just 2500 rupees, he became a tenant in a unit in the tinshaded house of late Bhashasain Aminul Haque, located within the shortest distance of Vault. The location of this house is just after 5 feet alley on the east side of Sonali Bank building in Rathkhola area of the city. Tk 16 crore 40 lakh kept in the bank's vault was removed by digging a tunnel from inside that rented house.
After looting money on Friday and Saturday, he decided to leave. Moved accordingly. Apart from this, exciting information has been found about the arrested Sohel's life in Kishoreganj. Two young women are caught in the trap of love in the implementation of this villainous plan of reality involved in bank robbery. One of them is Yasmin Sultana (23), an officer working in that branch of Sonali Bank.
The young woman admitted in the police interrogation that Sohail had a love relationship with Yasmin Sultana for almost two years. Although her home is in Hossainpur Upazila, the young woman lived alone in a rented house in the city due to her job. The other is Sabina Akhter (20), a third-year student of the local government Gurudayal College, whose home is Kendua police station in Netrakona.
Soon after the incident, the police arrested Nargis Akhtar, wife of local businessman Selim, who was assisting in taking house rent. Later, on the basis of information obtained through various media, these two alleged lovers of Sohail were also arrested.
According to those involved in the investigation, Sohail developed friendship with some of the officers/employees of that branch by using his acquaintance with bank officer lover Yasmin Sultana. It is believed that she was caught in a love trap for the purpose of having a relationship with a bank official. These bank officials are later employed in implementing the plan. Similarly, MLSS Abubakar (40) of a bank, after his arrest, it was confirmed through police interrogation that MLSS Abubakar was in close contact with Sohail till the day of the incident. At least 30 mobile numbers used by Sohail came to the hands of the concerned through interrogation of these suspects known to Sohail.
Based on the call list of those mobile phones, the current owner of Sohail's rented house, Meena Akhter, who was arrested by the police, had several phone conversations last Thursday. Several teams of law and order forces conducted a significant number of operations at different places in different districts after knowing the incident based on various information and phone numbers given by these suspects. Due to which it was possible to arrest him from Dhaka in the end.
One of the two alleged lovers of Sohail, bank officer Yasmin Sultana, a police officer related to the investigation told the media that she met Sohail two years ago. A love relationship develops between two people based on the source of identity. Because of this, Yasmin Sultana used to go to Sohail's rented house next to the bank. Apart from this, Sohail also often traveled to the bank to meet him. Yasmin Sultana claims that Sohail's father's name is Sirajul Islam and his father works in Sonali Bank - this is what she knows. Apart from that, they have a home in the city but never went there.
On the other hand, quoting Sabina, another lover, the official said that due to the love relationship between the two, the college girl sometimes went to Sohail's rented house.
However, as the mastermind of this sensational incident, Habibur Rahman alias Sohel, has been arrested by RAB, the investigation officials believe that complete information will be obtained in this regard through interrogation.
