The Dhaka Times Desk The derailment of the freight train stopped the train movement on Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet routes. After a long 10 hours, the train service has resumed.
A carriage of a freight train from Chittagong to Dhaka derailed in Gangasagar area of Brahmanbaria at around 6 pm on Sunday. Due to this, the railway connection of the port city with the capital and Sylhet was stopped. A rescue train arrived from Akhaura and removed the derailed carriage. After that the engineers from Comilla repaired the line and the train started running.
