Nowadays smartphone technology is evolving very fast. How could smartphones be in the near future? Looking at smartphone technology, here are some features of future smartphones.
1. AR or Augmented Reality Technology:
AR technology is about combining all the real life information with a subject in a convenient way for the user. Simply imagine you capture a spot on the smartphone screen. Touching any place in the captured space will tell you which place it is and what it is? Actually AR technology is a combination with GPS system which will give the user a real taste of any picture, video. Apple is thinking of bringing AR technology to its iPhone devices.
2. Flexible screen:
Soon smartphones will become useful for watching movies and playing games on the big screen. But smartphones must also be pocketable, with flexible screens making it possible. Flexible screen smartphones may be possible with OLED or organic light emitting diode technology. Future smartphones made with this paper-thin screen will have screens on both sides. Currently, Nokia is trying to develop a flexible thin screen smartphone.
3. Projector screen:
In fact, smartphones of the future will become interactive gaming consoles, which will be used without any kind of TV screen. This is possible only through the projector connected to the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy Beam was the first smartphone to feature such a technology known as DLP or Digital Light Projection. But the technology was on a very small scale, expected to be more widespread in future smartphones. As a result, you can enjoy the taste of watching movies at home.
4. 3D screens and holograms:
Smartphones have already reached the pinnacle of screen resolution thanks to the Apple Retina Display. It actually gives a sharper feeling to the human eye. Currently, mobile companies are moving from 3D feature smartphones to 3D feature smartphones. 3D smartphones are already available in the market like LG Optimus 3D, Samsung AMOLED 3D. But how will the future days 3D? 3D of future smartphones will be holographic 3D. 3D holographic projection is a seamless combination of an object on a 3D display that gives the user a sense of reality.
5. Smartphone like wristwatch:
What if your smartphone was like a wristwatch? I don't think it will be bad. Philips is thinking of such a smartphone. What Philips has chosen to make is OLED or organic light emitting diode thin flexible screen.
