Advocate Afsar Uddin Ahmed Khan was elected General Secretary and President of Dhaka Bar as Awami League candidate. He was elected Kapasia Upazila Chairman in 1989, Member of National Parliament in 1996 and became the State Minister of Housing and Public Works.
