The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh has extended its cooperation in the search for the missing Malaysian plane. Bangladesh's two patrol aircraft and two frigates will search the Bay of Bengal area.
Yesterday, on Friday, the news of the government's decision came to the media. It said that two Bangladeshi patrol aircraft and two frigates will go to the Bay of Bengal area to search for the missing Malaysian plane. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself ordered to start this search from Saturday. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Mahbubul Haque Shakeel confirmed this to the media on Friday.
On March 7, Malaysian flight MH370 disappeared with 239 people on board. The plane was bound for Beijing, China. This flight left Kuala Lumpur for Beijing at 12:41 PM on Friday, March 7. The latest news of the plane the next day (Saturday) - after checking the waves caught on the radar, experts opined - the plane headed towards the Andaman Islands in the Indian territory of the Bay of Bengal. Soon after the news broke, the Prime Minister ordered a search for the plane in the Bay of Bengal region.
It should be noted that already China, USA, Vietnam, Malaysia and India are jointly searching for the aircraft. But till now the whereabouts of the plane has not been found. Malaysian authorities have sought India's cooperation in searching for the plane yesterday.
