Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 50 runs in T20 World Cup

The Dhaka Times Desk Pakistan beat Bangladesh by a huge margin of 50 runs with a target of 191 runs in the T20 World Cup at Mirpur.


Bangladesh Team:
Tamim Iqbal, Enamul Haque, Samsur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan, Musfiqur Rahim, Nasir Hossain, Muhammad Uddallah, Ziaur Rahman, Mashrafe, Abdur Razzak, Al Amin.

Pakistan Team:

Kamran Akmal, Ahmed Sehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Shoaib Muqsud, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanveer, Umar Gul, Zulfikar Babar, Sajid Ajmal.

Pakistan got off to a great start with the bats of two openers Kamran Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad. These two cricketers gave Pakistan a base of 43 runs for the first wicket. However, Pakistan's opening pair was broken when Abdur Razzaq took Kamran's wicket. Later, Shehzad and Hafeez scored 27 runs and Bangladesh was under pressure again.

But again Abdur Razzak hit Pakistan's batting line-up. Hafeez is out for a personal 8 runs. In the end, Riyad returned Umar Akmal for zero runs. After that, Shehzad made a huge partnership of 83 runs with Shoaib Malik. However, Shakib Al Hasan returned Shoaib Malik for 26 runs. Shehzad brought up his personal T20 century in just 58 balls with 4 sixes and 9 fours. Afridi's blistering batting at the end took Pakistan to the top of a huge collection. Shahid Afridi scored 22 runs off just 9 balls which included 2 sixes and 1 four. In the end, Pakistan gave Bangladesh a huge target of 191 runs in 20 overs. Shehzad scored an unbeaten 111 runs. Al Amin took 3 wickets for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh faced a batting disaster early on in chasing Pakistan's huge runs. Tamim Iqbal failed in this match like Barbar, he was bowled by Omar Gul for a personal 16 runs. After that, the in-form Enamul Haque Vijay was sent back to the pavilion by Sajid Ajmal for 18 runs. Shakib Al Hasan, who changed the batting order to play at number three, however, played somewhat cautiously and scored 38 runs from 32 balls. Shakib is out by Omar Gul. After that Nasir 23, Zia was out for 0 runs, Riyad alone is trying to resist by scoring 12 runs. Later Bangladesh could not stand in front of Pakistani bowlers, Bangladesh managed to score 140 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Pakistan beat Bangladesh by a huge margin of 50 runs. For Pakistan, Omar Gul took 3 wickets and Sajid Ajmal took two wickets.
