The Dhaka Times Desk “Mann Dhor Man Chhoeche” touches our hearts today with this song by Souls band. An initiative has been taken to bring out an album of Souls Band's old classic songs.
Souls is one of the leading popular bands of early Bangladesh. Songs from its early days are not preserved together. For a long time they were trying to save these popular songs. Eventually Souls decided to save their wildly popular songs. They are going to merge these songs and release them in the form of a new album “Souls Gold”.
Souls band members started recording all those songs from last Saturday. "The songs will be recorded on two separate CDs, the two CDs will be called Souls Gold-1 and Souls Gold-2," said Souls band leader Parth Barua. The band members said that the first album can be released on the next Eid. The albums will include "Mann Dhor Man Chhoeche", "Mukhrit Jeeban", "Ae Eun Idni" "Akasher Taragulu" along with other popular songs of the Souls Band that still rock the hearts of listeners today. The original tune will be re-arranged and re-voiced.
Partha Barua also said, "This effort is to preserve our old songs, there will be no enthusiasm to do the work after five to ten years. So we decided to keep them now, hopefully these songs will reach the next generation as well.”
