The Dhaka Times Desk Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Syeda Rezwana Hasan, executive director of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), was rescued at night. He is currently being produced in Narayanganj court.
According to police sources, the court will take his statement. For that he is being taken from Dhaka to Narayanganj. He was sent to Narayanganj court under special police guard at 10:30 am. It is not yet certain why prominent businessman Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) executive director Syeda Rezwana Hasan, was abducted. Police said the matter is being investigated. However, it is initially thought that some circles may have done this because of Syeda Rezwana Hasan's association with the environmental movement.
It is to be noted that Abu Bakar Siddique, the husband of Syeda Rezwana Hasan, was taken away at gunpoint from in front of the Bhuiyan filling station in Narayanganj's Fatulla at 3 o'clock on Wednesday.
