Bus-train collision in capital: 12 killed

The Dhaka Times Desk A bus-train collision took place near TTpara Basti of Gopi Bagh in the capital on Tuesday around 10:30 pm. At least 12 people were killed.


This collision took place between a train coming from Narayanganj towards Kamalapur and a bus of Balaka Paribahan on the Sayedabad to Gazipur route. In this accident, the bus was completely twisted.

One of the dead has been identified as Najmus Saba Nazur (22), a second-year political science student of Dinajpur Government College. Her husband Janakantha sub-editor AKM Obaidur Rahman has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College. Those concerned said that the number of casualties may increase.
