Alleged involvement in kidnapping: 3 arrested including 2 policemen in Kurigram

The Dhaka Times Desk 3 people including 2 policemen have been arrested in Kurigram for their involvement in the kidnapping incident.

According to media reports, an NGO official was kidnapped and ransom was collected. A source of DB police along with 2 police constables have been arrested for their involvement in this incident. Another accused Constable Shah Alam working in Kurigram Court is absconding. The accused are DB Police Constable Atikuzzaman, Constable Mamunur Rashid and Source Manu Maker.

It is to be noted that local NGO official Maidul Islam (42) was abducted at gunpoint last Wednesday evening. The next day Thursday afternoon, the younger brother of the abducted Liton filed an extortion case referring to this incident.
