This portal has more than 1.5 lakh content including information about Cabinet and Pay Commission. Besides, there is a list of information and officials of all public and private institutions of the country. More than 4 lakh pictures of natural beauty, antiquities, historical places have been added to highlight the identity of Bangladesh. There are more than five thousand domains on the same platform. It is by far the largest website in the world.
Anyone can access this portal from anywhere for free. For this he has to visit www.bangladesh.gov.bd link. Then the information of the department, district, upazila and union will come according to the category. The services provided at the district level have been linked with the upazila and union level portals. Any information can be selected. This portal has the largest e-directory book.
These websites have been developed by Access to Information (A2I), an information and technology project under the Prime Minister's Office. This work was completed in more than one year with the help of BCC and BASIS under the supervision of the Cabinet Department. 50 thousand officials were trained to work on Unicode, photo editing, internet uploading, downloading, PDF.
These include Deputy Commissioners, Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Assistant Commissioners (ICT) and all levels of government officials Union Parishad secretaries and entrepreneurs. Besides, Union Parishad Secretary, Assistant Commissioner (I.C.T.), Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner, all district and upazila level office heads have also played a role in this huge work.
This huge portal will be launched only after the inauguration of the Prime Minister. We will pass another big step of digitalization.
