The QuitBit lighter will determine how many cigarettes a smoker has smoked in a day and display it in front of the smoker through the lighter's LED light. Consequently, if a smoker wants to quit smoking, he should be careful to light one cigarette after lighting the next one. This lighter will also show the person when the smoker has smoked before. The QuitBit lighter has a small heating coil inside that helps ignite the fire and a sensor that detects how many cigarettes the smoker has lit and how often they are lit.

There is an app attached to this lighter. The smoker can also tell the app to contain other information. That includes if the smoker wants to save the data of someone else lighting a cigarette with this lighter, he can do that too. In addition, it will collect all the data in its own case, so the user will get an accurate statistic of his smoking, which will contain all the information about the cost of smoking.

He said about this project, when I wanted to quit smoking, my friend (Khuji, another founder of this project) used to say that I smoke too much and I cannot quit smoking because I cannot diagnose it properly. We then thought of using hardware and sensors that would accurately deliver information to the smoker.

From the point of view of smokers who want to quit smoking, this will be a really effective way because a lighter is the most essential thing for a smoker's cigarette. It's amazing how much that lighter will alert the smoker. QuitBit has already been released to the market through a Kickstarter project.
