Kurmitola General Hospital of Dhaka Cantonment is located opposite Hotel Radisson. But being in the cantonment area, one has to go there through various security. Then it won't feel like a hospital.

The hospital is built in such a beautiful environment. The surroundings are very beautiful. Moreover, starting from the gate of the hospital, the interior is also clean. Mosaic floor. It is known that all patients also get free medicines from this hospital. Free food is also provided to admitted patients. Free medicines with prescription are available by buying a ticket for just 10 taka (outside department). On the other hand, the ticket price in the inner section is 15 rupees. This 12-storey hospital has 500 beds. But there are only 95 beds in the external department. It is said that soon the work of improving it to 200 beds is going on. A total of 8 wards for men and women are functioning.

The hospital has a total of 11 departments including medicine, surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynaecology, children, ophthalmology, nose-ear-throat, skin and venereal disease, dental, mental disease, urology, nephrology, in the external and internal departments of the hospital. According to the hospital authorities, a total of 280 people have been appointed so far. 80 doctors, 70 nurses. The hospital has a total of 280 staff including various officials. However, 50 army men are also on duty in this hospital attached.

It is noted that the hospital was established on May 13, 2012 to provide medical services to the people of Bhashantek, Manikadi, Savar, Mohakhali, Khilkhet, Nikunj, Uttara, Tongi, Gazipur areas. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the hospital.
