The Dhaka Times Desk At least 25 villages have been destroyed by severe cyclone in several districts of the country on Wednesday. Two people were killed. Thousands of houses and educational institutions have been destroyed in this cyclone.

Yesterday's cyclone caused extensive damage to various crops including ripe boro paddy of hundreds of bighas of land. Two persons named rice mill owner Masud (28) and farmer Chalu Mia (52) died after the house collapsed in Jamalpur's Bakshiganj.
Cyclone hit 11 villages of Nitai, Bahagili and Chandkhana Union of Kishoreganj Upazila of Nilphamari at noon in Nilphamari representative and Kishoreganj.
In the morning of Pirganj (Rangpur), Patgram, Khasti and Chhota Uzirpur villages of the upazila were suddenly hit by a cyclone, which destroyed many houses.
Gopalpur (Tangail) Tornado hit Khandkar Para, Paglapara, Maulvipara, Paschim Para and Jhopna villages of Mushuddi Union of Dhanbari Upazila at 9:30 am. About three hundred houses were destroyed and half a hundred people were injured in the storm.
