Bangladesh Jewelery Association or Bajus has announced a reduction in the price of gold in the country's market. The price of gold has decreased by 1166 taka per load and its price will be 47 thousand 239 taka in the current market.
Citing Bajus, it is also known that the price of silver will decrease by 117 taka per load and stand at 1166 taka in the current market. According to Bajus, this price will be implemented from the first working day on Sunday. Bangladesh Jewelery Association announced this decision through a press briefing on Saturday. Bajus said the decision was taken unanimously by their executive committee. When asked about the price reduction, Bajus executive committee general secretary told the media that the decision to revise the price in the domestic market was taken due to the fall in the price of gold in the international market. In view of that, the price of gold is being reduced in Bangladesh market. Also, due to the fall in international prices, the amount of gold sold in the country's market decreased.
In September last year, Bajus reduced the price of gold in the Bangladesh market in a step based on the continued decline in the international market. At that time, the price of Pratibhari gold stood at 49 thousand 592 taka. Pratibhari or 11.668 grams as per the new rates Current market price of 22 carat gold is 47 thousand 239 taka. The price of 21 carat gold is 45 thousand 81 taka And The price of 18 carat gold is 38 thousand 607 taka. Besides, according to the traditional method, the price of gold decreased to 26 thousand 244 taka. 21 carat cadmium silver is priced at Tk 1166.
But on Saturday, 22 carat gold was sold at 48 thousand 405 taka, 21 carat gold was sold at 46 thousand 247 taka and 18 carat gold was sold at 39 thousand 657 taka. Bangladesh Jewelery Association believes that the price drop will increase the gold sales rate.
