Increase in murders in the country: 5 murders in Pabna and Madaripur

The Dhaka Times Desk There has been an unusual increase in the number of murders in the country. On Saturday, 3 workers of Awami League were shot and hacked to death in Pushpapara area of Ataikula, Pabna, and 2 people, including Sadrasa's assistant professor in Tekerhat, Rajir, Madaripur.

The Pabna incident took place in Pushpapara Bazar area on the Pabna-Dhaka highway. Unknown miscreants shot dead 3 workers of Labor League and Jubo League. 2 more people were injured in this incident. This incident happened around 8:30 pm. The identity of the deceased has been found. They are Sultan Hossain (39) son of Kamal Shikdar of Dharmagram, Fazlu (36) son of Sadek Pramanik and Chalam Mia (37) son of Afchar of Pirgacha village.

On the other hand, miscreants shot and hacked to death Maulana Abul Basar (50), an assistant professor of the local Aliya Madrasa, and two others at Tekehat of Madaripur's Rajair Upazila.

It should be noted that recently there has been an increase in cases of murder, disappearance and abduction in the country. Law enforcement agencies should be more strict to prevent these incidents.
