The Dhaka Times Desk 3 people were killed when the walls of the Sylhet stadium collapsed due to heavy rains. This incident happened on Monday night around 2:30.
The wall of the Sylhet stadium collapsed when it rained heavily at night. 3 tea workers died in this.
The officer-in-charge of the airport police station of Sylhet Metropolitan Police confirmed the matter to the media and said that the accident occurred due to the collapse of the east side wall of the stadium due to heavy rain at night. The deceased tea workers are Nachima Begum (16), Ruhul (15) and Zaheed (15). The dead body was recovered and sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The tea workers have been protesting in the area since morning over this incident. However, police sources said that the situation is under control.
