Return process to start soon: SP of Narayanganj confirmed the arrest of Noor Hossain

The Dhaka Times Desk The SP of Narayanganj has confirmed the arrest of Noor Hossain, the mastermind of the Narayanganj seven murder incident in India. He also told the media that the process of his return will be started.

Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police Khandkar Mahid Uddin has confirmed that Noor Hossain, the main accused in the Narayanganj seven murder case, has been arrested in Kolkata in West Bengal in various newspapers and online media. He also said that the process of bringing him back to the country will start soon.

Khandkar Mahid Uddin said, "It has been confirmed by contacting the relevant branch of the Kolkata Police that the arrested person is Noor Hossain, the main accused in the case of 7 murders in Narayanganj." The Superintendent of Police also said, 'The legal process to bring him home will be initiated soon.'

Superintendent of Police said, when contacted by telephone last night, Kolkata police sources said that a person named Noor Hossain was arrested on Saturday night from a house in the area adjacent to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport in Kolkata on charges of trespassing. However, the Kolkata police did not confirm last night whether the arrested person is Noor Hossain, the accused in the seven murder case. The operation was carried out at the request of Bangladesh police. The arrested person is being interrogated by the Kolkata Police.

Note that on April 27 Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam and 7 people were kidnapped. After 3 days on April 30, their half-melted bodies were recovered from Shitalakshya river. On April 28, Nazrul's wife Selina Islam Noor Hossain filed a case at Fatulra Model Police Station as the main accused in that incident. But the police arrested many people including 3 RAB officers related to the case, but Noor Hossain escaped to Kolkata. Later the process of arresting him started through Interpol.
