Israel accepts cease-fire proposal - Hamas does not: attacks begin again

There are many speculations about why Hamas rejected the ceasefire proposal in such a casualty situation. Many feel that the matter is now an issue of revenge for the Palestinians, including Hamas. Egypt called for a ceasefire, negotiating only with Israel. Hamas knew nothing about this. They learned of the ceasefire proposal through the media. Claiming this, Hamas has stated that they do not agree to this cease-fire.

Meanwhile, the cease-fire proposal called for Hamas to disarm but did not ask Israel to lay down its weapons. But Hamas is the legitimate authority of Gaza! Hamas leaders consider the matter to be an acceptance of defeat and an acceptance of defeat by Hamas and the Palestinian people.
