According to Russian sources, Russian President Vladimir Putin is supposed to return to Russia from Brazil at about 32,000 feet above the ground. The attack immediately brought down the Malaysian airliner and killed 295 passengers, including the 15 crew on board.

Meanwhile, Putin said in a televised speech today (Friday) that the country in whose skies this tragic incident happened must take responsibility.
