The Dhaka Times Desk Finally, 3 Indian TV channels have been writ in the High Court to stop broadcasting. This writ was filed today, Thursday.
Indian Star Jalsa, Star Plus and Zee Bangla broadcast in Bangladesh 3 TV channels have been writ in the High Court seeking orders to take action to stop broadcasting within 7 days. This writ was filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday. Lawyer Syeda Shaheen Ara Laili filed the writ petition.
According to media sources, in this writ petition, it has been informed that along with seeking instructions to stop the broadcasting of those 3 channels within 7 days, the report on the implementation of the instructions should be submitted to the court within 2 weeks.
It is to be noted that a lawyer of the High Court had previously given a notice to the Ministry of Information to stop the Indian channel.
