70 years of traffic jams in the forest in Belgium!

The Dhaka Times Desk Looking at the picture, do you think this is a scene from the Walking Dead or any other horror movie? The real story will surprise you. It's actually the world's largest car graveyard that was stuck in a Belgian forest until 2010

The world's famous car graveyard has been built over the years with the wreckage of 100 to 150 different models of cars. The quiet haunted place became a reminder of World War II throughout Europe.

Belgium's urban legends can be heard in detail! A small forest near a village called Châtillon in southern Belgium, the abandoned and rusting car cemetery has been in the middle of the forest since the 1940s. During World War II, US soldiers stationed in southern Belgium decided not to leave all their military vehicles behind.

The ranking officials drove the cars down a quiet road up the hillside to nowhere. The road ahead was blocked and there was no way back. They left the cars and ran away with their lives.

After returning home, they wanted to bring back the cars. But the government informed that they have to bear the shipping cost themselves. No cars are ever returned due to overspending. And the queue of cars stuck in that jam is lonely for 70 years.

Over the years, the place gradually turned from a smooth road into a dense forest. The world's largest car graveyard was cleared in 2010 due to environmental concerns.
