The Dhaka Times Desk Samsung is now launching a metal frame smartphone named 'Galaxy Alpha'. Samsung is claiming this new smartphone as an 'evolution in Galaxy design'. But tech bloggers say that apart from the metallic casing, the 'Galaxy Alpha' is not much different from the Galaxy S5.
Next September, the metal structure Galaxy Alpha will be available in the markets of about 150 countries around the world. The interesting thing is that another tech giant Apple is bringing iPhone 6 in the next month. Samsung has not made any official announcement about the price of this new product. Tech website TomsHardware reckons it could be priced at $689. It is also known by quoting the technical website Senate that it uses the 4.4.4 KitKat version of the Android operating system. The smartphone with 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display weighs only 115 grams. Which is much less than the Galaxy S5. Galaxy Alpha also has an octa-core chipset, two GB of RAM, 32 GB of default storage facilities. The back camera of the smartphone will be 12 megapixels and the front camera will be 2.1 megapixels.
According to a report by the news agency BBC, Samsung is actually competing for market share with the new smartphone. And Samsung's competition with Apple is nothing new.
