Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri announced this in a video message posted online on Wednesday.
In the 55-minute video message, Zawahiri said in a mixture of Arabic and Urdu, 'This step will promote the spread of Islamic law and the flag of jihad in the Indian subcontinent.
Zawahiri termed the establishment of Al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent as good news for the Muslims of Myanmar, Bangladesh and India's Gujarat, Assam, Ahmedabad, Jammu and Kashmir. He also mentioned that this new wing of Al-Qaeda will save Muslims from injustice and injustice.
Zawahiri, the current head of al-Qaeda, said the artificial border dividing the region's Muslim population would break the newly formed forces. Al-Qaeda is currently active in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
