A teacher's wrist was cut by her bigoted husband!

The incident took place in Savar near the capital Dhaka. Sabina Akhter (25), a school teacher's wrist was cut off by her husband. He was rescued and admitted to a local hospital in Savar in bloody condition. The horrific incident happened in North Chapain Mohalla of Savar Municipal area on Tuesday morning.

According to media sources, the said teacher Sabina Akhtar was living in a rented house with her husband in North Chapain Mahalla. Sabina teaches at the local Brac school.

The teacher told reporters that her husband's name is Hira Mia, he is a garment worker. Sabina got married with him a year and a half ago. After marriage, she used to teach in a local school from a rented house in Savar Municipal area with her husband.

She found out that her husband secretly married a second time after a few months of marriage. Due to which there were frequent quarrels between them. On Tuesday morning, at some stage of the conversation between them, husband Hira slapped her and cut her right wrist. Later, when he screamed in pain, the locals rescued him and admitted him to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.

Savar Model Police confirmed the incident. Police said that the teacher's wrist has been recovered. He is hospitalized. Necessary action will be taken against the accused.
