জেন পার্সির এই বিশাল বাগানটি বিষাক্ত এবং নিষিদ্ধ গাছগাছালিতে পুর্ণ। কয়েক বছর আগে জেন পার্সি স্কটল্যান্ডের মধ্যযুগীয় একটি স্কটিশ হাসপাতালে ভ্রমণ করেন। সেখানে অ্যালনিয়াক দুর্গের ভেতর একটি নিষিদ্ধ বাগান দেখেন। সেই বাগানটিও বিষাক্ত গাছে পুর্ন ছিল এবং তার বাইরে স্মিথসোনিয়ান জাদুঘর কর্তৃপক্ষের লেভেল দেওয়া ছিল ‘বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বিপদজনক বাগান’। এখান থেকে তিনি চিন্তা করেন যে, তিনি এই রকম একটি বাগান তৈরি করবেন তার বাড়িতে। জেন পার্সি তার এই বাগান সম্পর্কে বলেন, আমি মনে করি এটি বাচ্চাদের জানতে এবং বুঝতে চেষ্টা করবে যে, কিছু গাছ তোমাকে মেরে ফেলতে পারে আবার কিছু গাছ তোমার জীবন রক্ষা করতে পারে। জেন পার্সির এই বাগানের সামনের গেইটে একটি ক্রসবোন মাথার খুলির বিপদজনক চিহ্ন দেওয়া রয়েছে এবং সেখানে লেখা আছে ‘ এই গাছগুলো তোমাকে মেরে ফেলতে পারে’। জেন পার্সির এই বাগানে রয়েছে প্রায় ১০০ প্রজাতির বিষাক্ত গাছ তারমধ্যে রয়েছে হেমলক, পপি, ফক্সগ্লোভ এবং ক্যাস্টর অয়েল সহ আরো অনেক বিষাক্ত গাছ।
