The 6th largest mosque in the world is Hassan Mosque in Morocco. This mosque, destroyed in 1993, is located in Casablanca, Morocco. The mosque is built on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
The area of this mosque is 90,000 square meters. 1,05,000 people can pray together here. This mosque has the tallest minaret in the world (among mosques). The height of this minaret is 210 meters (or 689 feet). Expensive marble, granite, stone, wood are used in this mosque which took 6000 Moroccan artists around 5 years to build. The mosque has an exquisite craftsmanship. Many tourists flock to have a glimpse of this elaborate mosque.
