Schoolgirl Lima Khatun (16) committed suicide by jumping under a moving truck in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj on Friday. The deceased Lima Khatun is the daughter of Shahidul Islam of Hamin Damin village of Bakshragacha union of Atra upazila. She is an 8th standard student in the local high school.
Hatikumrul Highway Police officer-in-charge BM Imdadul Haque told the media that a schoolgirl named Lima Khatun jumped under a moving truck in Chandaikona area of Raiganj upazila on Sirajganj-Bogra highway at around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, she died on the spot. When the dead body of Lima Khatun was recovered, a note was found with her. In that note he wrote his name and address and also wrote that, 'No one is responsible for my death. I went to my master. Bury me quickly after my death, so that no man sees me before the funeral.
The truck was seized but the driver is absconding. The body of the deceased has been handed over to the relatives. A case of death has been registered in the police station.
