Bangladeshi maid saved four children with her life in Dubai

The Dhaka Times Desk A Bangladeshi woman in Dubai, Safia, has been working as a domestic worker in a house for 5 years. Recently, Safia gave her life to save four children who almost drowned in the sea.

The incident took place on a beach in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and was reported by various Arab news media. Due to carelessness of the parents, 4 children fell into the water at Dabiya beach in Abu Dhabi. It is said that the parents were indifferent. Safia saw the children falling into the water and called for help. But when no one answered his call, during this time 4 children went deeper. Seeing that the strong waves were taking the children away, Safia herself went down to save the children. In between the waves become more intense. Safia drags the 4 children one by one to the shore and just as she gets to the shore she is swept away by the huge current.

Safia fought alone against the current and continued to hit the coral rocks in the sea, bloodied Safia was eventually able to pull herself to the shore but was not saved. He died of excessive bleeding before being taken to the hospital.

Abu Abdullah is the father of one of the 4 children and Safia's owner. He was present at the scene and took all responsibility for Safia's aftermath. Also, arrangements have been made to compensate Safia's family on behalf of the families of 3 more children. Abu Abdullah said Safia has been working in my house for the last 4 years. Recently he planned to visit the country for his daughter's marriage. However, his daughter's marriage did not happen. We are arranging for his body to be repatriated and we will be forever indebted to him for this work.
