The Dhaka Times Desk A group of researchers found a giant spider in the rain forest. This spider is said to be the size of a normal puppy.
A man named Piotr Naskrecki found this spider in the rainforest. There the spider was wandering in the dark. Piotr Naskrecki suddenly felt something on his leg. He said I first felt something hairy walking on my leg. At first I thought it was a rat or something. I turn back and shine my torch light. I saw a huge spider there. It looked so huge that it was about half the size of my hand.
Experts say that the Goliath birdeater spider of South America is currently known as the largest species of spider. Each of their feet is the size of a normal human child's hand. Nowadays this spider is very rare. Scientists say the spider seen by Piotr Naskrecki may belong to the Goliath birdeater tribe. However, it is still considered to be very young.
Piotr Naskrecki says that this spider is very poisonous, because touching its hairs on my hands hurts a lot. This feeling is similar to picking a fingernail.
