The Dhaka Times Desk Lists of 52 people have been exchanged between RAB and India's National Investigation Agency (NIA). RAB has given the list of 41 people to NIA and NIA has given the list of 11 people to RAB.
The list of 52 persons was exchanged yesterday between India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) visiting Bangladesh. A list of 41 people was given to NIA by RAB. On the other hand NIA has given a list of 11 people to RAB.
RAB's list includes the names of members of Bangladesh's top terrorist and banned militant outfits Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and Harkatul Jihad Bangladesh (HUJI-B).
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Commissioner (DB) Monirul Islam. He told reporters that NIA members have given a list of 11 Bangladeshis. The intelligence of Bangladesh has confirmed that 4 people from that list are Bangladeshis. They are JMB member Bomaru Mizan, son-in-law Farooq, Salahuddin and Sajid who was detained in India.
No match was found with the photos and names of the remaining 8 persons and the names of the Bangladeshi militants. It is believed that these 8 people may have gone to India and taken refuge by changing their names. They are Kawsar, Anwar Sheikh, Rezaul Karim, Abul Kalam, Amjad Hossain, Borhan Uddin, Zahirul, Habibur Rahman.
