Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stood next to poet Nirmalendu Guna, actress Amirunesa Khanam (Rani Sarkar) and one-time film actress Shahina Shikdarke (Bansree). He gave them a financial grant of 20 lakhs. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the donation check to them at Ganobhaban on Wednesday evening.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to know about the inhuman condition of Rani Sarkar and Banshri through various media. Then invited them to Ganabhaban. He handed over this assistance check to them yesterday on Wednesday. On the other hand, eminent poet Nirmalendu Guna is physically sick with various diseases including heart disease. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also helped him for treatment.
It is known that apart from these three cultural personalities, the Prime Minister also donated 20 lakhs to Begum Dil Ara Khanam, Lailun Nahar Mala and Manikganj Mental and Intellectual Disability Rehabilitation Home.
