According to a report by technology website Gizmag, IrishScan works like a normal computer mouse, but can be used as a scanner by pressing the left and right buttons and scrolling. By holding down the left mouse button and moving the mouse from one side to the other, the scan starts. The software accompanying the mouse displays the scanned data in real time on the computer monitor. Scanned copies can be printed directly from the mouse.
