The clash between the dental students and the police took place on Wednesday around 12 noon on the road next to the National Press Club of the capital. 20 students were injured in this incident. At least 12 people were arrested by the police.
It is known that the students under the banner of the Dental Student Association (DSAC) were marching towards the secretariat to hand over a memorandum to the Ministry of Health, when the police stopped them near the press club. At one point, the police also threw water cannons. Meanwhile, the students clashed with the police with batons. During the clash, the students vandalized a BRTC bus.
According to the sources of the students' organization, the police detained 12 people and injured 20 students. The injured have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
