The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based human rights organization, told the media that the tomb of the 13th century Islamic thinker Imam Nabbi was destroyed when Al Nusr Front attacked last Wednesday.
The Syrian government strongly condemned the destruction of historical sites and world heritage. The Syrian government has also warned of a tough response to the attackers.
It should be noted that a report published by the United Nations in December shows that 290 historical structures of the country were destroyed in the war in Syria. Some of these ruins are part of world heritage.
