'The Director' got censor clearance after almost a year of detention

Kamruzzaman Kamu's film 'The Director' has got clearance from the Censor Board after being stuck for a long time. On January 8, the Censor Board cleared the film. The film 'The Director' was submitted to the Censor Board in February last year. Then the Censor Board banned the film citing obscenity. The director was informed by letter that 'The Director' was not fit for display.

Since then, a movement called 'The Director Mukti Andolan' started on Facebook demanding the release of the film. Later, a human chain was formed in front of the censor board with the demand to cancel the censorship system in the film. Meanwhile, director Kamruzzaman Kamu also appealed in view of the Censor Board's letter. Finally, after almost a year, the Censor Board has cleared the film.

'The Director' stars Poppy, Musharraf Karim, Marzooq Russell, Nafiza, Kachi Khandkar, Nafa, Tarek Mahmood, Bappi Ashraf and others.
