According to the international media, Nasser bin Ali al-Ansi, one of the leaders of Al Qaeda in Yemen, called for isolated attacks on Western countries. Al-Ansi claimed that the branch of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) was behind the Paris attacks. He made this call again last Tuesday within two weeks of that demand. He made this call in a report published in AQAP's media wing SITE Monitoring.

"It would be better if they could personally wage jihad in Western countries fighting Islam," Ansi said. He also said AQAP was working to strike Western targets outside Yemen.

Ansi added, 'We have ventured to operate outside, and the enemy is well aware of its dangers. We are preparing and waiting for the enemies of Allah. We are exhorting the believers to do this.'

It should be noted that this month, AQAP has accepted the responsibility of killing 17 people by attacking several places including the office of satirical magazine Charles Ebdou in Paris, the capital of France. It is known that the two brothers who attacked Charlie Hebdu were in Yemen for some time in 2011. The United States has been considering this branch of Al Qaeda as the most active part since AQAP's attack plans were caught on several international flights.
