The Hindi movie 'Wanted' was released in several theaters in Bangladesh on Friday. People associated with Bangladeshi films have been protesting the import and exhibition of Hindi movies. Yesterday, on the day of the film's release, artists and crews protested by tearing posters and banners at four halls.
Shakib Khan, the popular film actor of Bangladesh, participated in this protest and said, 'It is not just a film, it is a movement to protect the country.'
It is to be noted that for the last few days, all activities related to films including shooting inside and outside the FDC have been stopped due to the call of Bangladesh Film Union to protest the import and screening of Hindi movies.
